SpaceX Achieves Another Milestone with Falcon 9 Launch

In a new achievement added to SpaceX’s impressive record, the company launched its 119th Falcon 9 mission of the year on September 21, 2025. This launch included sending a new batch of Starlink internet satellites into space from Florida’s Space Coast.

Launch Details

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 6:53 AM Eastern Time. The rocket carried 28 Starlink satellites, aimed at enhancing the global internet network.

Approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first stage returned to Earth as planned, successfully landing on the SpaceX drone ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Falcon 9 First Stage

The first stage of this rocket, designated B1085, is a notable part of SpaceX’s history, completing its eleventh flight. Among its previous missions were the Crew-9 and Crew-2 astronaut flights, as well as the Firefly Blue Ghost 1 mission that sent a private robotic lander to the moon.

Starlink Satellites and Their Goals

The upper stage of the Falcon 9 continued to carry the 28 satellites to low Earth orbit, where they were deployed as scheduled about 64 minutes after launch. These satellites aim to expand and develop the global internet network provided by Starlink.

The Starlink network is an ambitious project seeking to deliver high-speed internet to remote and underserved areas lacking traditional internet services.

Other Falcon 9 Missions

This mission marks the 119th Falcon 9 flight this year. Additionally, SpaceX conducted four other launches in 2025 related to the giant Starship rocket, which the company is developing to help settle Mars.

These launches are part of efforts to realize the company’s ambitions in space exploration and the future colonization of other planets.

Conclusion

SpaceX continues to advance in the field of space with its successful launch of a new group of Starlink satellites, enhancing the global internet infrastructure. This launch reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to developing space technologies and utilizing them to improve human life on Earth. As it continues to launch more missions and develop new rockets, SpaceX remains a leader in space exploration and advanced technology.
