This data might incorrectly suggest that Earth’s atmosphere doesn’t react to stronger solar winds.

Researchers analyzed over a million solar wind measurements from spacecraft orbiting near Earth. They found that electrical currents in Earth’s upper atmosphere continue to increase with stronger solar winds, indicating that super solar storms could cause greater geomagnetic disruptions.
